Gold recovery expert Freddy Dodge helps struggling mine owners. If he can increase the owner’s weekly gold haul, he gets a cut of the profits, but if he fails…he doesn’t charge a dime.
Holey & Moley were commissioned to help develop and style the series; creating an evocative brand and following this style through the many graphic sequences.
This included Titles Branding, Lower Thirds, Explainer Graphics and Map Sequences. Each episode featured a new mine and mining process that Freddy was going to attempt to improve ‘yield from’ or ‘fix fundamental issues’ in it’s gold production, this required Holey & Moley to model each mine and it’s equipment in 3D and then use animation to show the enhancement, repairs and key features.
Topographical maps, mine layouts and branding were all created to showcase this new Gold Rush series on the new Discovery+ streaming service, which outperformed in its first few month of going live.
