Send Nudes: Body SOS is a bold, warm-hearted factual entertainment series that reimagines the cosmetic transformation genre for a digital-native audience. The show invites contributors to explore their insecurities through future-facing 3D visualisations—while receiving unfiltered feedback from a panel of 50 strangers. It’s a format that balances sensitivity with irreverence, aligning perfectly with E4’s mischievous, boundary-pushing identity.
Holey & Moley partnered with Crackit Productions at an early stage to develop a cohesive motion graphics language for Send Nudes: Body SOS, collaborating closely with the set design team to deliver a unified visual identity across studio and VT.
Inspired by the studio’s soft, curvaceous forms, we crafted a design system built around fluid shapes, pastel palettes, and considered motion. Our approach to broadcast motion design was rooted in sensitivity—supporting complex subject matter with a tone that felt warm, inclusive, and human. Subtle digital glitches and graphic accents were introduced where appropriate, drawing inspiration from the show’s futuristic 3D visualisations while carefully balancing this with the raw, unfiltered emotion at its core.
At the centre of the project was the “Bare All Wall”—a dynamic, multi-user interface designed to display and manage up to 50 contributors simultaneously. To achieve the necessary flexibility, we developed a modular kit-of-parts workflow in Adobe After Effects. This scalable system allowed editors to seamlessly reconfigure layouts, shift focus between individuals and groups, and respond rapidly to editorial demands, all while maintaining a consistent, high-end finish.
Our graphics were designed in close integration with the set, allowing us to align precisely with camera positions so they sit naturally and seamlessly within the environment. The system was built to respond dynamically across multiple viewpoints, working effortlessly with both locked-off and moving shots.
This methodology extended across the wider graphics package. We created a comprehensive suite of motion graphics assets, including user-generated content containers, glitch-style transitions, and a full title sequence. Each element was engineered to handle mixed-format media—portrait, landscape, and mobile footage—ensuring clarity, consistency, and visual coherence across all outputs.
By placing equal emphasis on design and workflow, we empowered the edit team with greater creative control without compromising craft. The result is a flexible, scalable motion graphics system that supports complex storytelling while maintaining a distinctive and cohesive visual identity.
This project reflects Holey & Moley’s approach to motion graphics for broadcast and streaming—combining creative precision with robust workflows to deliver design systems that perform at scale.
