Following the success of the first series “A House Through Time” returns to our screens – this time featuring ‘No5 Ravensworth Terrace’ in Newcastle!
We reconnect with our host David Olusoga, who takes us on this landmark journey through 200 years of history. Discovering the incredible stories of the people, whose lives transcended this fascinating house; ranging from burglary to bigamy, and discovering characters including a vengeful lawyer, a scientist faced with financial ruin, and a doctor entangled in a workhouse scandal.
Holey & Moley were commissioned to produce the graphics for this returning format, developing and evolving the success of the first series, whilst keeping the core brand strengths that the audience had become familiar with.
This included the re-creation of many maps, artefacts and graphic history. Building accurate 3D models of the House and it’s surrounding buildings, through all it’s evolutionary changes and uses, and styling it ‘in history’ to create a tapestry brand that transcends the page.
A bespoke titles sequence, timelines, digital rostrum, 3D projection mapping, parallax suspended photography, and visual effects were all combined to ensure the communication, brand and style of this evocative series continued to create a true landmark of social history.
