Holey and Moley were commissioned to remake this world-famous Video Arts film about taking the fear out of financial documents.
The Balance Sheet Barrier is centred around two contrasting characters: Rita (Dawn French) a streetwise factory owner who ‘watches the figures like a hawk’ – and Julian (John Cleese), a stuffy business director who pretends to know the financial side of a business, but really doesn’t.
The film required extensive storyboarding and development, to enable the vast production of 3D modelling and animation, 2D special effects, Photography, a full Sound Score and branded Grade and Visualisation. The film was entirely remade by Holey and Moley, and now represents the conception of a whole new animated brand for Video Arts.
