Holey & Moley were commissioned to design, storyboard, compose music and create a DCI brand animation for “Auchan” a leading specialist retail company.
The sequence was to debut in the new feature film “Untamed Romania” which was also a graphics and special effect commission for Holey & Moley.
The sequence was extensively storyboarded and designed from conception to work in full DCI 4k film resolution; working in all film production projects for Auchan and to add to their commercial motion graphics branding.
A full music sound score was also created by Holey & Moley to accompany the animation, including foley, spot effects, atmospherics and 5.1 orchestral mix. The result is epic, powerful and heavy with thunderous drums, driving strings, and uplifting brass.
The sequence featured the Auchan bird, that needed to be brought to life in motion through 3D animation. A landscape was also created from 3D origami to set an ecologically responsible theme; reflective of the commissioning of “Untamed Romania”. The heroes from the feature film; The Wolf, Eagle and Bear were then created in 3D origami and animated to create an engaging narrative, following our Auchan bird flying through the landscape and interacting with our heroes to resolve on the Auchan brand.
