“Extreme Rescues” is a brand new National Geographic series featuring dramatic real-life footage captured by the rescuers themselves! This eye-witness rescue footage is mixed with ‘User Generated Content’ (UGC) which is captured at the time of these sensational accidents (often on GoPro cameras) – this is then inter-cut with visual effects and graphic sequences (by Holey & Moley) to help tell the epic tales of these ‘Extreme Rescues’.
Holey & Moley were commissioned to brand this ‘blue chip’ National Geographic series; creating an on-screen identity, logos, branding and NatGeo ‘template’ deliverables. Visual Effects, 3D Animation, Anatomical Modelling, Camera Tracking, X-Ray Vision, Sub-Surface Scattering, Cross-Sectional Slices and Topographic Terrains all featured in the Holey & Moley ‘tool kit’ for communicating each stories graphic detail.
With such a wide variety of challenges, Holey & Moley brought a seamless brand style to the graphics; enhancing each story whilst communicating key information for each Rescue. The intricate rescue logistics often required a bespoke graphic technique or approach; where thinking ‘outside the box’ and unifying the results into a brand approach is something Holey & Moley are very proud of.
‘Extreme Rescues” puts viewers in the centre of the action for every heart-stopping second.
